Them: What do you want to be when you grow up?

7yr old me: Someone who pets goats.

Them: That’s not a thing.

Let's face it. I had big plans for the future back then. But I also wanted to be an astronaut, a firefighter, and a mailman. Naturally I became an award-winning creative—something that combines letting your imagination take you to uncharted places, the adaptability to put out raging infernos on a daily basis, and the commitment to timely deliver only the highest quality work. Not a bad way to merge some of your kid dreams and make a living, right?

For well over the past 15+ years I've worked hard to position myself as a creative leader, knocking out jobs of every size and being fortunate to work alongside many who have contributed to the success of that work. I've overseen and developed creative campaigns that have reinvigorated brands both domestically and abroad, as well as more intimate jobs that have helped local groups and businesses gain recognition. And I've done it all while continuously setting the bar higher for the next challenge, pushing myself and my teams to be pillars at what we do.

As a creative leader, you get the most out of your team by being with them throughout the entire creative process. Finding that path and leading the way. If you work tirelessly, they will too. If you're a perfectionist, they'll be extra picky as well. It's a win-win. And inspiring to say the least. Within an industry that prides itself on innovation and pushing boundaries, it’s necessary for our success. It brings the best out in everyone and, ultimately, the work speaks for itself.
